A Road Trip To The North East Of Bali - Searching for a creative spark
After traveling and creating full time for 4 months, I arrived in Bali in a creative rut with no desire to pick up my camera and create, a feeling I had never experienced before in all my years of Photography. As creatives we typically strive for perfectionism, worry our work is not good enough and compare ourselves to others.
I got together with a good friend of mine @core.cultures to go on a trip to the North East of Bali and escape the chaos in the South hoping that I might find my flow again. With no plan or accommodation booked we headed North to the volcanic regions of Kintamani, Bukit Cinta & Sidemen driving drove through remote villages and interacted with locals.
This trip wasn’t exactly photography focused as originally planned, but more about being present and documenting the journey I took, both literally and creatively. It was safe to say that it didn’t take long to find my flow again and it shows what getting out into the field can do for your creativity. I ended up walking away away from this trip with some of my favourite photos and video i’ve taken to date - Images shot on Sony A7IV & 24-70 GM II, DJI Mini 3 Pro
The moments and interactions I had during this trip will last with me forever.
